Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă met with the Trade Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ruhsar Pekcan

Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă had on February 8, 2019, a meeting with the Trade Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ruhsar Pekcan, in the context of the working visit the latter is paying to Romania. The importance of capitalizing on the growth potential of bilateral exchanges was highlighted during the discussion.

The Romanian Prime Minister saluted the development of the bilateral economic relations and the joint interest in streamlining bilateral exchanges which are on an ascendant path. Prime Minister voiced satisfaction over the joint decision to organize in the next period the meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee of economic cooperation, as well as the signing together with the Romanian Minister of the business sector, trade and entrepreneurship Stefan – Radu Oprea of the organization regulations for a mechanism of bilateral dialogue with the participation of the business sector. Prime Minister also underlined the importance of the dialogue at technical level in streamlining trade activity between economic agents and attracting investment.

 In the context of a Romania –Turkey Business Forum held on the occasion of the Turkish Minister’s visit, the Romanian Prime Minister saluted the initiative of organizing this forum and voiced her belief that this will contribute to strengthening ties at the level of the business sector.
