Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă to meet with the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte

On September 12, 2018, Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă will have a meeting with the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte who is paying a working visit to Bucharest.

The visit takes place in the context of the approaching Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first semester of next year, and it is the first visit Prime Minister  Rutte is paying to Romania.

The Romanian –Dutch bilateral relationship is based on economic, political and social mutual interests and on both states’ membership of EU and NATO. The Kingdom of the Netherlands is the largest investor in Romania and the emerging Romanian community in this country makes active and significant contributions to the Dutch economy and society.

In this context, talks will explore the possibilities of deepening bilateral relationship and ways in which the two EU Member States can work together to promote the objectives of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
