Development of bilateral economic cooperation, the theme of Prime Minister Mihai Tudose’s meeting with Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Stella Ronner-Grubacic


Prime Minister Mihai Tudose discussed today, at the Victoria Palace, with Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Stella Ronner-Grubacic about the prospects of developing the bilateral economic cooperation.

The Head of the Executive highlighted in this context that Romania achieved the highest economic growth of the European Union, which opens new investment opportunities for the forthcoming period.

“Romania is doing very well from an economic point of view, and we have full openness to support the business environment and investment,” Prime Minister Tudose stated, reminding that investments are among the priorities of the 2018 budget draft.

Prime Minister also highlighted that Romania further wants to be a reliable partner within the EU, especially in the context of its first mandate to the Presidency of the Council of the EU, in the first semester of 2019. “This responsibility represents an important challenge for Romania,” added the Head of the Executive.

In her turn, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Stella Ronner-Grubacic stated that the Dutch investors already present in Romania are interested in new business opportunities on the Romanian market. In addition, numerous other Dutch businessmen expressed their interest in launching investments in Romania, encouraged by the good economic development of our country. The Dutch diplomat expressed her country’s availability to share with Romania the experience gathered in the mandates concluded so far to the Presidency of the Council of the EU.

The Romanian delegation included Secretary of State Florin Vodita and State Advisor Gabriel Andronache.
