Economic and Trade Forum China –Central and Eastern European countries
(Bucharest, November 26, 2013)
The Economic and Trade Forum China –Central and Eastern European countries will be held in Bucharest (Palace of Parliament), on Tuesday, November 26.
Economic event, organized by the Romanian Government, takes place in the margins of the Heads of Government in Central and Eastern Europe – China meeting, held on the same day.
The economic and trade forum will be opened by Victor Ponta, Prime Minister of Romania and Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of PR China.
In addition to high government officials from 17 countries, the forum will be attended by over 1500 businesspeople, of which about 300 Chinese businesspeople, 800 Romanian and over 400 businesspeople from other countries in the region (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary).
The Forum will be divided in one plenary session and five workshops focused on main areas of cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe: infrastructure / transport, energy, agriculture, IC&T and tourism.
The Bucharest Forum is aimed at promoting economic and trade ties between the participating countries and China and at identifying new opportunities for cooperation, through concrete projects, focusing on the areas of infrastructure, transport, energy, agriculture, IC&T, tourism, banking sector and finance. Discussions will provide an opportunity too to exchange experience regarding current cooperation projects and the panels – the opportunity of direct contact between companies and businesspeople participants, and also between them and representatives of Government authorities.
Within the Forum (Parliament Palace, level P1) over 200 exhibitors will be present too, in 4 exhibitions intended to promote agricultural products, high-speed trains, tourism and IT & C.
