Prime Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă: “Digitalization is the key to cutting through the red tape and will facilitate our country's transition to a more secure, dynamic and data-driven economy"

Prime Minister Nicolae-Ionel Ciucă met with the Vice President of Google, Karan Bhatia at Victoria Palace.

The main topics discussed were the consequences of the Russian military aggression in Ukraine, the threats in the field of cyber security and related to disinformation, the digital transformation of Romania and the importance of the transatlantic partnership.

Prime Minister emphasized Romania’s important role in the region, as a pillar of stability within both NATO and the EU.

At the same time, digitalization will facilitate our country's transition to a more secure, dynamic and data-driven economy, aligned with European strategic directions.

A consolidated Google presence in Romania and its local development will contribute to strengthening the transatlantic partnership and boosting the research-development processes in our country.
