Prime Minister Nicolae –Ionel Ciucă attended the opening of the meeting of the Governing Board of the European Centre of Competence in the field of industry, technology and research in the field of cyber security (ECCC).
Prime Minister Nicolae –Ionel Ciucă sent a message today at the opening of the first meeting, in Bucharest, of the Governing Board of the European Centre of Competence in the field of industry, technology and research in the field of cyber security (ECCC), held at the Victoria Palace.
On this occasion, Prime Minister welcomed the presence of the Council members in the ECCC's host city, one year since its establishment, while underlining the importance of joint European actions in ensuring security, especially in the context of rising cyber-attacks, against the backdrop of the Russian military aggression in Ukraine.
"As a host member state, Romania is firmly committed to supporting and working with the ECCC, as well as with its Governing Board, to carry out the mission and mutually agreed objectives," stated the Head of the Government.
The Prime Minister voiced confidence that the ECCC will be actively involved in cyber security efforts of partners such as Ukraine or the Republic of Moldova. Romania will remain an important contributor to cyber security and will continue its upward trajectory in digital transformation.
