Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă has been received by His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain


On a working visit to the Kingdom of Spain, Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă has been received by His Majesty King Felipe VI.

Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă and King Felipe VI have mentioned the privileged relationship between the two countries geographically positioned at the confines of the European continent.

They have also highlighted the excellent level of relations between Romania and Spain at a political and sectoral level, mainly at the economic and human level, in the context of the good integration into the Spanish society of the over one million Romanians living and working in Spain.

Prime Minister of Romania has also mentioned that Spain is a true European model in terms of citizen integration, both at governmental level and society level.

Aspects related to our country’s preparations and priorities for this mandate have been discussed from the perspective of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the EU in the first half of 2019.

In this context, the Head of the Executive has outlined the opportunity to deepen cooperation between Romania and Spain on the main topics of the European agenda, to generate, through joint efforts, positive results for the European Union, for the member states and for their citizens.

Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă has highlighted that Romania's major objective for the future of Europe is the unity and cohesion of the European project, as our country wants a Europe built on fundamental principles and values, generating prosperity, security and stability.

Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă and His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain have also discussed topics of interest of the international political agenda.
